Memes Lab has announced the completion of a $2.3 million seed round, led by Lemniscap and joined by major investors including TVM Ventures, Animoca Brands, OKX Ventures, Mirana Ventures, Kucoin Ventures, GSR, Amber Group, and more. The investment will help Memes Lab develop its TON application platform, where users can create, trade, and distribute memecoins.
According to the press release, the funds will be used to develop Memes Lab’s platform and prepare for the upcoming token generation event (TGE). The project’s motivation is to put the community back at the center of the memecoin movement, said co-founder and COO Vova Sadkov. Memes Lab aims to simplify the process of creating and distributing memecoins, while also driving excitement and community engagement, which is what makes memecoins so appealing.
Roderik van der Graaf, founder and managing partner of Lemniscap, also expressed his excitement to lead this investment round. He emphasized that Memes Lab is bringing new excitement to the meme economy, empowering users to easily create memecoins and airdrop them to friends and communities.
With the backing of leading investment funds, Memes Lab promises to make new strides in community development and increased engagement in the memecoin space.
